Description
This Rosé is the first wine to be made with fruit from the Corang Estate vineyard in Nerriga.
Tasting Notes
This lovely, elegant, yet flavoursome Rosé is made with Tempranillo and Shiraz from our Corang Estate vineyard. It displays aromatic red berries, floral notes and a long, clean finish!
Vineyard
Tempranillo and Shiraz was harvested from the Corang Estate vineyard in early-March at around 12.5be and topped up with a little Murrumbateman fruit.
Winemaking
After picking, the fruit was whole bunch pressed to give elegant aromatic fruit characters and fine structure, then cool fermented in stainless steel vats.
Cellaring
This delightful wine will drink beautifully over the next 2-3 years.
Food Match
A perfect match for salmon or tuna steaks, tapas-inspired dishes and Asian-style stir fries and curries. Enjoy!
Reviews and Awards
“Youthfully charming and fabulously expressed with watermelon, honeydew melon, Gala apple and floral aromas on the nose, followed by a concentrated palate that’s juicy and vibrant with a lengthy succulent finish. Terrific drinking. At its best: now to 2024.” 94/100 – Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
“You don’t see many Southern Tablelands wines, but hey, here we have one! Tempranillo and shiraz utilised. Cherry and watermelon juice. Fruity but dry expression with lots going on and a lot of charisma. Quite jubey through the finish, but that’s kinda fun too. It moves at pace. There’s just the faintest savouriness, nuttiness in there too. A delight to drink and super easy to do so. An obvious rose, done well.” 90/100, Mike Bennie, Wine Front
